Location
The preceding display describes the current weather conditions at our home in Cornelius, Oregon. We are located about three to four miles south of Cornelius and Forest Grove. We are located at about the 600 foot level.
Update Rate
Ideally, this is updated automatically every 15 minutes, day and night.
Hardware
We use a Radio Shack WX200 Weather Station connected via a serial link to an AMD Athlon 2400 running Fedora 4 Linux, using wx200d, version 1.3 and rrdtool.
Measurement caveats
At our home, we are almost completely surrounded by approximately 100 foot high Douglas Fir trees, therefore the wind speed measurement is generally just a fraction of the real wind speed. The direction appears about correct.

All of the weather data that we collect is shared with WeatherUnderground and WeatherForYou.
